【摘要】:Colorspecificationsarecenteredaroundexactpositionsincolorspace.Correspondingly,glossspecificationsarecenteredaroundanexactpositionontheglossscale.Becauseitisdifficulttoachievetheseexactpositionsrepeatedly,itisnecessarytospecifytolerancesthatareacceptabletoboththebuyerandtheseller.Thispracticedetailstheprocedureforaccomplishingthisgoal.1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureforestablishingtolerancesandevaluatingthecolorandglossofspecimenswithrespecttospecifiedstandards.Thispracticeisappropriatefornonfluorescentopaquespecimens.1.2Thispracticedoesnotindicatetheextentoftolerances,butgivesguidanceonhowtheycanbeset.Forproductspecification,thetolerancesbetweenspecimensandthespecifiedstandardshouldbeagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
