【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesthedeterminationofthebulkdensityofgranularrefractorymaterials(grainbulkdensity)havingagrainsizegreaterthan2mm,bythemercurymethodwithvacuum.NOTE1Thismethodisintendedasthereferencemethodbecauseofitsreproducibilityandsimplicityinuse.However,mercuryisknowntobeahazardoussubstance,andthereforethedeterminationofbulkdensityofgranularmaterialscanbecarriedoutaccordingtoprEN993-18.Thisstandard,whichdefinesamethodbywaterwithvacuum,isrecommendedforallroutinepurposes.Nevertheless,dependingonthenatureofthematerialtested,thetwomethodscangivedifferentresults.NOTE2Undertestconditions,applyingamercurypressureof26,5kPa,roundporeswithadiameter≥55μmandelongatedporeswithawidth≥27,5μmarepenetratedbymercury.
