【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesprocedures,independentofthetransmissionprocess,forprotectingtheintegrityoftransmittedbankingmessagesandforverifyingthatamessagehasoriginatedfromanauthorizedsource.Italsospecifiesamethodbywhichblockcipherscanbeapprovedforuseintheauthenticationofbankingmessages.Inaddition,becauseofthenecessityforbothmembersinacommunicatingpairtousethesamemeansfordatarepresentation,itdefinessomemethodsfordatarepresentation.Alistofblockciphersapprovedforthecalculationofamessageauthenticationcode(MAC),aswellasthemethodtobeusedtoapproveadditionalblockciphers,isalsoprovided.Theauthenticationmethodsitdefinesareapplicabletomessagesformattedandtransmittedbothascodedcharactersetsandasbinarydata.ThisInternationalStandardisdesignedforusewithsymmetricalgorithmswherebothsenderandreceiverusethesamekey.Itdoesnotspecifymethodsforestablishingthesharedkey,nordoesitprovideforenciphermentfortheprotectionofmessagesagainstunauthorizeddisclosure.Itsapplicationwillnotprotecttheuseragainstinternalfraudbysenderorreceiver,orforgeryofaMACbythereceiver.
